The Crossmax SL S 29 is designed for Cross Country riding. Made from aluminum alloy, this wheel is lightweight and efficient, and features the world’s simplest tubeless system, plus ISM machining to save even more weight.
Its rim has a 25 mm internal width and benefits from numerous patented technologies. FORE construction makes the rim completely airtight without adding a specific rim strip, while ISM machining removes material from strategic areas to reduce weight without sacrificing strength. Finally, the Black Shield treatment offers increased protection against impacts and scratches.
For the spoke layout, Mavic has opted for a total of 24 straight, flat, bladed spokes with Fore technology, laced in pairs without contact.
Finally, the Crossmax SL S is equipped with the new Infinity hub with an ID360 double-ratchet freehub body. It’s highly reliable and provides fast engagement for efficient acceleration. Designed for 6-bolt or Center Lock brake rotors, depending on the version selected, these hubs are compatible with Shimano HG9, XD, and Micro Spline freehub bodies and come configured for Boost 12x148 mm thru-axles.
