Real-world demo rides
More than a test—it's a real ride (and a post-ride drink). Buying a bike based on a spec sheet is fine. But feeling how Mondraker Forward Geometry handles a tight turn or testing the natural-assist feel of the new Rocky Mountain Instinct Powerplay SL is even better.
At PureBike, we're an Official Mondraker Test Center year-round. From May through September, though, we switch to "Afterwork" mode: every Thursday evening, we close the shop, roll out the demo bikes, and hit the local trails together.
PureBike Afterworks (May through September)
- When: Every Thursday, leaving the shop at 6:30 p.m. (back around 8:30 p.m.).
- The ride: A 2-hour loop around Saint-Maixent, led by one or two team members. We'll show you the best spots and explain everything about how the bike works.
- The vibe: No pressure here. All skill levels are welcome. The idea is to share how the bike feels. After the ride, we'll bring out the beer, chips, and grilled sausages for a casual get-together outside the shop.
- Good to know: You don't have to test a bike to join us! Bring your own ride (mountain bike or e-bike) and gear (helmet + lights) and come enjoy a group ride.
Our demo fleet: Exceptional bikes
We refresh our demo bikes every year so you can try the best of what's out there. Come ride:
- Mondraker: The latest models (Neat, Dune XR...) and the geometry that revolutionized mountain biking.
- Rocky Mountain: The Instinct Powerplay SL Carbon 70 (size L), a lightweight e-MTB that makes no compromises.
- Yeti Cycles: The legendary SB140 C2 Lunch Ride (size L) for riders who love pure handling.
Good to know: How does it work?
It's easy, it's free, and we'll take care of almost everything.
- Reservations required: Call us or stop by the shop at least 48 hours ahead to reserve your demo bike.
- Custom setup: When you sign up, tell us your weight and height. With our Fox Service Center expertise, we'll dial in your suspension to suit your build.
- What to bring: Bring your pedals if you have them (otherwise, we can lend you flat pedals) and your helmet. If you don't have one yet, we can lend you one!
- Cost: The ride and demo are free. For the post-ride get-together, bring something to share if you'd like!
