The hanger should be perfectly aligned with your frame. If you notice difficulty shifting gears while riding, it could mean that your derailleur needs adjustment or that the derailleur hanger is about to break.
This is a mechanical task anyone can do. Get a set of Allen keys that fit the bolt. Unscrew it and remove the broken hanger. Apply a little Loctite threadlocker to the fastener.
Then position the new derailleur hanger on the frame. Check that it's aligned and insert the mounting bolt. Tighten it carefully, without overtightening, to avoid damaging the threads.
