With its 2.5 mm thick brake discs, the GUSTAV PRO combines stability, power, and smooth modulation like no other brake. A constant performance from top to bottom of the track.
Nothing unsettles Gustav: With the new MDR-S 2.5 brake disc, braking has never been so quiet! The optimized design of the braking surface and the high rigidity of the disc due to its thickness ensure vibration-free and especially quiet braking, even under heavy load. The GUSTAV brake is ready to use immediately without a tedious braking-in protocol. You just need to hop on the bike and enjoy smooth riding right after a brief break-in period. Thanks to the low heat buildup, it’s nearly impossible for the pads to glaze over.
More miles, fewer worries: Nobody likes issues. That’s why Magura has doubled the maintenance interval for its new GUSTAV brakes! Extra-thick brake pads with 40% more volume and 2.5 mm thick brake discs with a wear limit of 2.1 mm will save you frequent trips to the workshop.
No panic with bleeding! With a double oil volume in the expansion reservoir (7 ml), Magura has done everything to make bleeding rarely necessary. If the worst should happen, the new bleeding system guarantees a clean operation. To ensure you can remove every air bubble with ease, the internal oil routing has been simplified to allow air bubbles to be eliminated without stress.
Installing the Gustav is a breeze: To make brake caliper adjustment quick, the GUSTAV PRO features a large clearance between the disc and the pads. So, if the piston isn't perfectly aligned in your caliper, the rigid brake disc ensures auto-alignment of the pads.
A fully redesigned brake hose: The brake hose has been completely redesigned with the new MAGURA EASY LINK technology, allowing you to easily connect the hose and brake lever in a Plug'n Play manner. You can now install or remove your hose as often and as quickly as you like without having to re-bleed the system! Even shortening the hose is now faster!
