Shimano SLX M7100 chain takes same construction than XT 12 speed so we found last HG technology to offer more quiet and precise shiftings and solid pins. They also have same weigths and the difference is in link coating. SLX is built with Sil-Tec instead of chromatic treatment of XT M8100 so it has little less durability. SLX 12 speed chain is more destined for sportriders than comptitors.
