As per Garbaruk field-tested recipe, they mill 10 steel cogs out of a single piece of heat-treated steel and add a securely fitted 50T aluminum cog, milled out of 7075-series aluminum alloy and black color anodized. Garbaruk recommends using 11-speed XD cassette with the following Shimano rear derailleur models: RD-M7000-11 (SLX), RD-M8000/M8050 (XT/XT Di2), RD-M9000/9050 (XTR/XTR Di2). However, in case you would like to use it with SRAM 11-speed MTB rear derailleur, this setup will also work well. For the 10-46T cassette with 11-speed Shimano rear derailleur : Garbaruk RD cage is optional, may be coupled with Garbaruk oversized derailleur pulleys. For 10-48/50T cassette with 11-speed Shimano rear derailleur: Garbaruk RD cage is required. for optimal performance, may be coupled with Garbaruk oversized derailleur pulleys.
