The Fox 38 Float 29 Grip X2 is the long-travel single crown fork optimized for Enduro, Freeride, and E-Bike riding! With travel of 170 mm, it offers a high level of performance and unmatched durability
Lower legs of the fork include new generation of bushings that minimize frictions, and a lot of interesting features : bleeders allow for atmospheric pressure equalization at the simple press of a button, air/oil channels help alleviate the increasing air pressure as the fork compress and allow oil to circulate and lubricate the foam rings and bishings, new lower leg arch improve stoffness to weigh ratio, and a floatting axle system allow a perfect alignment of the chassis with the hub eliminating unwanted frictions between upper and lower legs.
Steerer is also optimized on the Fox 38 with ellipitical inner tube that optimize the stiffness to weight ratio placing more material only where it's needed and eliminating every ounce of it where it's not.
Air Spring of the Fox 38 use the updated Float Evo technology that increase negative air spring volume optimizing small bump sensitivity , offering better mid stroke support and more tunable bottom-out progression
And finally, the major innovation lies in the hydraulics, with the introduction of the GRIP X2 damper, born from motocross experience and wich is a true flagship of the brand in terms of adjustability and performance. The GRIP X2 damper allows the fork to stay higher in its travel and offers a high level of customization for compression and rebound settings. To achieve this, Fox reworked the internal parts of the cartridge, increasing the piston rod diameter from 8 mm to 10 mm, the base valve from 20 mm to 24 mm, and the valve stack from 7 shims in the previous version to 23 shims in this new generation, providing more customization options
